1. Choosing Your Canva Wedding Invitation Template

Go to Canva https://www.canva.com/en_gb/

Type “digital wedding evite” into the search bar
Browse hundreds of designs and pick one that matches your wedding style, whether that’s rustic, modern, boho, classic, or something in-between! (We promise, once you get past this step of agreeing on just one of their templates, the stressful part is over!)

2. Personalise the Text

Replace the sample names with your names (reminder: we demo exactly how to do all of this in our YouTube tutorial).
Update the wedding date, time and location. Not forgetting to add your RSVP deadline!
Keep your text simple and clear, your guests should get all the key details at a glance. You can always include any additional information you want to share in the email you send with the evite, or on your wedding website.

3. Add Animations and Transitions

Select the text or element you want to animate, and click Animate in the top menu.
Choose from simple fades, slides, or elegant typewriter effects.
For multi-page designs, use Page Transitions to make your invite flow like a pro!

4. Insert a QR Code for RSVPs

In the left-hand menu, click Elements → QR Code.
Paste in your RSVP form link or wedding website address.
Canva will generate a scannable code your guests can use to RSVP in seconds.

5. Export and Share Your Evite

When you’re both happy with your design, click Share in the top-right menu.
Then either: Download → MP4 video.
OR, Share → Public view link.
Send it instantly via email, text, WhatsApp, or upload it to your wedding website.
