Display Your Photo Booth Photos with this Cute DIY

Photo strip hoop tutorial

***

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we’ve turned our attention to, what might be, one of the cutest gift ideas. And bonus points that it won’t cost too much either. If you and your partner are a fan of a photo booth, you might have a selection of photo strips around the house, put away in drawers or boxes.

But what better way to display your photo booth photos than with this cute DIY gift idea.

Personalise your hoop with a meaningful message, your names, a special date, or even embroider some of your favourite things to add extra decoration to the fabric.

Not forgetting the main theme of our blog and Youtube channel, weddings, we also think they’d be a great addition to your reception tables. If you have multiple photo strips, why not turn them into table numbers?! An easy way to add a personal touch to your table decor.

You will need: (links marked * are affiliate links – we get a small amount of commission from Amazon at no additional cost to you.)

  • Your photobooth photos
  • Embroidery hoop large enough (we used an 8″ hoop similar to this one*)
  • Fabric
  • Embroidery thread (we used DMC stranded cotton 210*)
  • Needle
  • Embellishments – we used alphabet beads similar to these*
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

And what’s cuter than full size? Mini photos! Use the same technique to create mini hoops with polaroid or instax photos.
