DIY Flower Girl Wand Tutorial

While you may have decided and planned for your bouquet and the bouquets for your bridesmaids, a bouquet might not be quite right for the younger members of your wedding party. That’s where a flower wand comes in! A magical wand, perfect for floating down the aisle in the hands of a flower girl/boy.

Our DIY Flower Wand Tutorial uses faux flowers, so it’s an ideal wedding project that can be made way in advance. No DIY stress here! Choose the faux flowers and ribbon to match the colours of your wedding, and it will tie in beautifully.

You will need:

  • Wooden dowel – we used a dowel 30cm in length
  • Flexible wire (we used 2mm aluminium floral wire)
  • Twine
  • Faux flowers
  • Hot glue gun
  • Ribbon

N.B. Please be careful when using the hot glue gun as the glue may burn your skin if you come into contact with it before it sets.

We’d love to see if you decide to create your very own flower wands. Tag us in your photos over on Instagram.
