How to Fold a Napkin Rose for Valentine’s Day

Easy Rose Paper & Cloth Napkin Folding Tutorial

***

Turning your “just dinner” into a moment this Valentine’s Day! 🌹...And it’s easier than you think!

I love a napkin fold. Never once has it failed to get noticed at an event I’ve hosted – often guests don’t even want to unfold the napkin to use it, they want to take it home with them! Which, ok, defeats the life’s purpose of the napkin…but the napkin will get over it.

An origami napkin shows effort, that you took time and thought for your guests beyond the expected. They came for the food and the company, but it’s the unexpected elements that are the memorable, the talking points, the ones that make people feel special.

Clearly, Valentine’s Day is an obvious one for going that extra mile for your special dinner guest (or your Palentines), and a classic rose is the perfect addition to your tablescape. Our napkin roses can be made with either a paper or cloth napkin – we’re using a 33cm² paper napkin. It doesn’t even matter if the ones you have aren’t the same colour on both sides (ours are pink and white!), we’ll show you how to make sure the main colour you want ends up being the dominant one at the end.
