When it comes to planning your ultimate holiday to date, aka your honeymoon, there’s that sense of wanting to get it exactly right. To find yourselves a slice of paradise to savour your newly wedded bliss – just the two of you, to recover from the hecticness of the run up to your wedding day and soak in the whole experience. Maybe you are looking for some sunshine, or adventure, a little culture or just something new. But whatever it is, you want to know it’s going to be worthy of your honeymoon!
So for this week’s YT video, we’re taking the risk and the leg work out of it for you by taking you along to an all-inclusive, adults-only luxury resort in Mexico (let’s face it, you’ve got enough to think about with the wedding itself already, so let’s make this easy!). We spent 5 glorious days in Secrets Playa Blanca in Costa Mujeres, Mexico in January 2025 (don’t hate me!), reviewing the honeymoon-worthiness of this resort. It’s one of the Secrets chain’s newest resorts, which opened its doors last February (2024) – which obviously means there’s less information out there to get a good sense of whether it’s right for you, so hopefully this will provide the insight you’re looking for!
