There are cities that impress you, and then there are cities that quietly win you over. Vancouver does the former, and then just keeps on giving! It doesn’t shout about itself. It simply turns up with mountains, water, brilliant food and that relaxed, outdoorsy West Coast confidence… and suddenly you’re wondering why you don’t live there (very seriously a question we ask ourselves every time we head back to the airport!).
We’ve uploaded a new travel YouTube vlog, taking you along on one of our favourite trips to Vancouver as a couple – sharing the spots we genuinely love, the touristy bits we think are worth their moment, and the slower, more romantic activities that make this city so unforgettable.
Why Vancouver is the perfect Destination for Couples
For context: I’m British, my husband is Canadian, and we live in the UK. Vancouver has become a home away from home for us, a place we return to often and somehow never get bored of.
What makes it so ideal for couples (and honeymooners!) is the balance. Vancouver gives you everything you’d want from a major city – great shopping, a vast array of restaurants, skyline views, buzz, all while also surrounding you with mountains, woodlands and calm, tranquil water. One minute you’re strolling city streets picking outfits for your next romantic dinner, the next you’re walking hand-in-hand on a peaceful trail soaking in some precious time together. No matter what your ‘thing’ is, Vancouver has it.

This is Vancouver as we experience it, no big plans, no stressful itineraries. A taste of what Vancouver has to offer honeymooners to help you decide if this is the destination for you.
