How to Make Hot Chocolate Bombs

Hot chocolate bombs have ‘exploded’ in popularity in the last few months so we’ve taken the traditional ‘bomb’ and made it perfect for a valentines treat or even a winter wedding favour idea.
If you’re not sure what we’re talking about, hot chocolate bombs are chocolate hearts filled with hot chocolate powder and marshmallows. When added to warm milk, the chocolate melts away and the marshmallows ‘explode’ to the top of your mug.
You will need:
- Heart mould – we used this one
- Chocolate of your choice to line the heart moulds – we’ve used both dark chocolate and also white chocolate coloured with Colour Mill food colouring to create the pink chocolate.
- White chocolate for decoration – melted and used in a piping bag
- Sprinkles for decoration
- Hot chocolate powder
- Mini Marshmallows
Instructions for use:
- Heat some milk and pour into your favourite mug
- Place the heart hot chocolate bomb into the warm milk
- Stir and enjoy!
