The Luxury Adults-Only All-Inclusive Resort We Can’t Stop Thinking About
***
I’m sure there’s many words to describe Le Blanc in Los Cabos, Mexico. But in true Brit. style, my vocabulary fails me when it comes to expressing just how glorious this slice of all-inclusive paradise is (and believe me, even that sentence was a stretch for my sensibilities).
In stereotypical British-speak, throughout filming for this review, I’ve never been more acutely aware of my distinct lack of positive adjectives, and furthermore, the ability to deliver them without a minimiser, “that was pretty good“.
So, to interpret for any non-Brits reading / watching this, “pretty good” is actually more akin to, “that was awesome, my mind was completely blown!” With that established let me get into my “mind blowing” experience at Le Blanc, Los Cabos.
All-inclusive + adults-only, my interest was already peaking and if you’re looking for a honeymoon location, or perhaps even considering a destination wedding, these may well, quite rightly, be criteria on your checklist. Throw some powdery-soft sand and guaranteed sunshine in there and I’m boarding the plane.
If romance and relaxation are the feels you’re looking to get from your getaway, then your search just landed a whale! Possibly quite literally if you visit at the right time of year…there are whales passing by all day every day, putting on a show easily visible from the shoreline! Rooms with ocean views (binoculars included), its aptly named ‘Ocean’ restaurant maximising its aspect, sun loungers pointed out to the horizon, and miles of walkable beach all lending themselves to the excitement of whale spotting – I’ve popped just a few of the video clips I caught of them into the vlog, be sure to take a look. That fantasy of romantic sunset beach strolls, just got a major upgrade! From here on out, I’m refusing to holiday unless there’s a whale smacking its fin onto the ocean right outside my window, otherwise why bother?
There’s no getting away from it, Los Cabos is a loooooong way from the UK, so far in fact that I didn’t encounter another Brit in the resort the whole time I was there. If you’ve landed on this blog because you want to be absolutely sure it’s worth the undertaking, then my conclusion…nothing’s perfect, but some things come pretty close. If you told me the second I stepped off the plane in Heathrow that I could turn back around right there and then, I wouldn’t have hesitated.
Not only is Le Blanc fortunately situated in amongst the wonders of nature, the resort itself isn’t half bad either (again, some British minimisation for you there).
The interior design of every element of this resort will have you reaching for your camera. Several minutes of the Vlog are weirdly dedicated to Le Blanc’s washrooms, by which I’m not referring to the in-room bathrooms, though lovely, but the ones in the communal areas.
These must be the most luxe, exquisite washrooms I’ve ever been in. My husband and I came out of the men’s and women’s respectively, looked at each other and exclaimed how plush they were…not a typical point of discussion for us…unless in disgust! All of this to say, you’ve got to know that if even the communal washrooms have you impressed, then you know where they’ve set the bar.
The Vlog brings you all the usual aspects you may have come to expect from our Resort Reviews (if you’re not familiar with them and still shopping around for your honeymoon / destination wedding, you can check out the YouTube playlist here) – room tour, food, beach, activities, facilities, wedding spots…and a look around their app!
And it’s not just any old app, it’s one of the best apps out there, even my hubby was impressed by it and that’s not an easy feat (links to the app for Apple and Android available if you want to download in advance of your visit).
This review, more than ever, I’m talking FOOD!
…Whenever I get questions on our reviews, it’s always either, “is it overrun with seaweed?” (the answer is “no” by the way, none at all!) or “we’re foodies, how’s the food?”.
‘All-inclusive’ could suggest that food quality might suffer, but not here. In fact, if I omit the Blanc buffet breakfast, which was fine (here you should actually read ‘fine’ as ‘fine’) and perhaps a little underwhelming, the rest were some of the best I’ve had in my life. In fact, it’s the memory of the food that’s really stayed with me as the tan and zen have faded.
And don’t let my non-plussed attitude toward the buffet breakfast deter you, believe me, I LOVE breakfast, and typically what I get most excited about when visiting an all-inclusive, luxury resort. Thankfully they have other breakfast locations, which although à la carte, quickly converted me away from the buffet breakfast concept and wasn’t missed at all once I tasted Ocean’s almond-milk oatmeal or their berry French toast, with a side of whale-watching! Or their Lebanese take on a yoghurt & berry bowl or pancakes with rose syrup at Habibi.
And that’s just breakfast!
Dive into the deliciousness with me in the vlog, it’s food you need to see to appreciate (one step closer to tasting it!), plus a sneaky look at their menus so you can decide for yourselves if they’ve got dishes that have you intrigued – I’ve put time stamps in the video description box over on YouTube if you want to skip ahead to a particular meal.
I’ll leave you to watch whilst I continue to recover from my post-trip blues (totally worth it!). Seems the higher the high, the bluer the blues!
Thinking of visiting? Drop your questions in the comments section, I’ll do my best to help you out, plus it’ll help me exist in my holiday bubble a little longer.
